Shooting the remaining days

Hello all! *waves*

It's holiday season and what have you been up to? With Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve & New Year's day all lining up.. even if you are don't celebrate them i believe you've somehow, somehow joined the troupes in one of the occasion. Whether you're involved in some tacky faux snow-aerosol spraying activity at some shady streets, or a simple dinner at home with your love ones, I hope you've enjoyed this holiday season!

*********************************************************************

Year 2010 flew by. Literally.

I'm trying to trace some major and little incidents that happened along the way which has carried me 'till today. Well, you can't miss out the teeny tiny stuff they are just as important! =)

Brings me back to the beginning of the year where I'm still playing, still enjoying the post-holiday syndrome. Anyone who knows me, very well knows that I am a pig with 2 feet in real life during holiday. I just refuse to do anything that requires me to move an extra inch (I'll give in 2 inches if there's something in store, obviously). Also, I will spend the whole day doing nothing but staring at the pc with God-knows-what. Now you must be thinking 'it's a holiday! go somewhere! do something!' Ah Ah! *shakes head* My definition of holiday is Doing Nothing. I would count 'breathing' as an active program that I've unwillingly signed up to.

Do not judge me.
You probably had after my last sentence anyway.

After attending my cousin's wedding in the early January with a little helping hand me and my brother offered during the holidays, I slowly feel myself coming back to reality as college recommences. Reluctantly bringing myself to a reality check, I found myself already preparing for exam, and awaiting for the long-rumored 4 months holiday that everyone has been ogling at.

In short, this year I...

1. am 21 years old! I feel old almost instantly, but for the love of my parents I still have a face that could cheat you through anything younger than 21. =P

2. Did not feel anxious for my Higher Diploma exam, and I'm very anxious that I did not feel anxious. Get what I mean??? It's the worst guilt feeling I've ever had because I'm suppose to be all tensed-up but I'm still out whenever I can get out. Then bring myself back to send myself out again.

3. Had my crush on Kim Hyun Joong.

4. am a Legal Driver. If I could, I would shove my driving license to those who didn't believe in my driving ability. Neh! I took my lessons and everything else (God this sounds so familiar) in about 1 and a half month. I passed everything in my first trial - till today I'm pretty proud. Tee hee! I think the worst is to deal with my driving instructor that treats me like any other high school kid he taught, but no worries - you know me, I speak my mind. And to him, I gave him.

Sad to say, until this day no one really bothers me when I offer to drive. *sour face* Or even willingly let me steer the wheel. Their expression are all the same that reflects much negativity as though for a 110% I WILL knock their car into something. The only person who is always so supportive that gives up his driving seat and praises me for the mistake I've done is Yong Jay. *laughs* Hee I miss him a lot!

5. Begun my Korean fanatism. Yes, unconsciously I've dived into the deep sea with pretty boys and unrealistic overly-romantic Korean drama. Sometimes you just gotta give yourself a good pinch on the thigh and think - this is possible. But what I like is more than their porcelein skin, swift dance moves and angelic voices - I love the hardship they go through, the humbleness, the demanding training routine they went through at tender age, the obstacles they have to deal with netizen (citizen in the net), ALL that, to give you the performance of a lifetime.

6. Have never seen so many eggs in the house in my lifetime. My brother is on a weight gain regime, and staying together with him now at our condominium opens my eyes to the wonders of oval-unhatched chickens. He used to look very skinny, he still is by the way. One thing I got used to is other than looking at mountains of pasta, eggs and chicken breast; I also got used to hear the creeks on the bed when he does his sit up before he sleeps; and a half naked beast I could not recognize when I return home from college sometimes. Scare the crap out of me.

7. Belong to a new family. When you are 30,000miles away from your family (okay, maybe not 30,000miles), you'll tend to belong to a certain group of people. Being away from home most of the time for studies, my brother and I have came close to this bunch of people that I always refer to as 'The Dinner Gang'. We do a lot of things together, and on the weekends we'll plan for something and go for it! It's a really good feeling because they are like family! We can talk just about anything under the sun! I always feel so well taken care of by them and each other we fulfill the roles of siblings when our love ones are not around. I love you guys!!

8. Had the most supper this year. I'm not a supper person, I could sleep through hunger and I could hybernate through thirst. But somehow I found myself in KFC at 3am; mamak stall with fantastic maggi goreng accompanied by well-fed rodents; or McDonald's with the dinner gang. See number 9 for the contradicting fact.

9. Lost weight. As of now I'm standing at 41.7kg. I weighed myself in mid Sept and I was at 44.2kg. I cannot understand the science behind it, I mean I've never eaten so much in my life and what's with the weight loss?? I let out sighs whenever I step on the weighing scale. What I do now is that I try to finish my food and hopefully by the beginning of Jan 2011 we'll see some improvement! Eat up!! =)

10. Took my Higher Diploma results and it almost took my heart away. Based on No.2, I would have expected the worst of worst results. For instance, we have a paper call Hotel Management Case Study (HMCS), it has it's reputation for killing many students in the war of exam, and I, am one of them. I did not do well for my trials, in addition to that, my constant slacking just pushes me to think I will not excel for the finals. When I went back to college during our holidays, clad in t-shirt and jeans, I walked in the exam center with sweaty palms and dizzy head to collect my result. To my disbelievement, I've did it again! Congrats from the Jury *beams* Woohoo!! I texted my brother straightaway because he knew I had a hard time sleeping the night before - and guess what he treats me for a movie hahahahaha.

11. Was involved in the event of a lifetime. Golden Scavenger - I carry this name with much pride and joy. It might not be the most happening event of the century, but together with my team I've learnt a lot along the way. A lot of disagreement, arguements, and craziness but we still managed to pull it through. I'm so proud of what we have achieve. Go Go BD 30/31 HR2!

12. Attended one of my closest cousin brother's wedding. He is a boy famous in Kuantan for fixing bicycles, now he owns a shop in our neighbourhood area and he is married! =) He is always so dear to me and the day he told me about his plan to marry my then-jiejie (now my in-law), I had a frown in my heart because I was thinking this jiejie is taking him away from me. But he is happy, therefore I'm happy! =) And I can say I have a pretty good relationship with her now. It's a beautiful wedding attended by many close friends and relatives, probably one of the most special wedding I've attended and I hope they are blessed and cherished with this new life they'll go through together.

13. Met new friends, got closer to old friends. In my opinion, making friends is easy, keeping them is hard. This year I've came close to a few that I hope in years to come, we'll still be close. I look forward to many many moments to share with them.

14. Changed a new phone. Remember the days where I kept annoy everyone with my desire for LG Lollipop? Well the days are over, I got my phone! Hah! Although there has been constant bad reviews and perception over the brand.. But you know me, I don't care. What makes me happy matters the most. =) Same concept applies to other other aspects.

15. Fish. Yea man. Is it just me or I feet everyone gives me the look when I say I like to go fishing. First experience was suppose to be a squid jigging overnight-adventura at the South China Sea but after a few failed attempt my dad suggested me to play with the fishing rod and see if I can get some fishes. I got 3 same fishes in a row, which is peculiar but it was a fast catch. I never turned back since. Now I go to pay pond to fish with the legs (kaki) if situation allows. Now everyone repeat after me okay? I LOVE FISHING!

And next year, I..

1. Will be finishing my studies in 6 months. And hopefully, graduate with a smile on my face. Which is unlikely the case.

2. Will Still love Kim Hyun Joong.

3. Will go to France.

4. Will suffer from severe depression and will constantly have suicidal thoughts as dissertation and final exam apporaches.

5. Will go to fish more often to get rid of No.4.

6. Will start working after training. *starts pulling hair*

7. Will continue the search of a better self.

8. Will return home more often.

9. Will reflect at the end of 2011.

10. Will get my Red Kitchen Aid. Woohoo!

That's what I have in mind. And no, it's not a new year resolution. By the way, Year 2010 has been a pretty good year I would say! filled with laughter and tears, happiness and sorrow- that's what makes life isn't?

Let's hope for a better 2011 and oh! What are your plans for New Year's Eve?
Better start thinking!

=)

Love you. Kisses and Hugs.

Happy New Year everyone!
