Penang, OLA!

I'm just gonna make everything short and simple, i'm within time limit :)

************************************************************************************
I can't believe it, after all the discussion and thoughts about it, i'm finally going for my industrial training. Time flies man! 9 months ago i was thinking industrial training is a long more to be worried about. I'm going to Shangri-La Golden Sands Penang for training.

I packed my bags, had dim sum breakfast with Meng Zhen at Puchong, then he send me to the airport. My luggages are overweight. Not to mention Nana's, she probably had her whole house in her suitcase. The flight made me feel quite sick actually. Turning left and right... *vomit*

A view of Penang

Despite all the motion sickness, i'm still standing straight and balancing. We reached Penang Airport earlier than the estimated time, maybe too early. The flight is like.. 20minutes???? From what? 40minutes. I think the pilot's wife is giving birth he can't wait to go and see her.

We have heaps of luggages, heaps and heaps of 'em. 4 full luggage trolley.

Shae and Reagan and luggages!

Penang airport is the last place on earth i wanna hang out in seriously.

We have a problem here. Transportation to our condominium - The place where i'm going to spend with 7 other people, let me give you their name (just in case anything happen to me, track these people down) there is June, Nana, Atika, Su Fen, Shannon, Reagan and a lost Eugene *laughs*. Atika's mom came with us to make sure Atika is fine, she went back the next day.

Back to the topic, transportation. After all the discussion among us, we decided to take a van to our condo, not cheap, they really love to slaughter people from the airport, heartless. To make things worse, we have to wait there in the airport for about an hour. Of course, people like us will always find something to entertain ourselfs.

One of the luggages.

Finally the van is here. We got to snap a photo before we leave the airport. The van driver helped us with our luggage and we hit the road to Batu Ferringghi. Eden Seaview is where i live. And MAN!!! right beside our condo is Uplands International School, there's a football field, a swimming pool in their school.. and guess what, i can see all that clearly from the balcony of my room. Beware hot guys!

Shae, me, June, Nana and Atika

We reached our condo in about half an hour. It was hell for me because i'm still feeling sick from the flight and i wanted to go to the loo real bad. Damn, the place i'm gonna stay for the next 3 months is beautiful, i feel like i'm on a holiday.

We choose our room and unpack our stuff before we head our to Gurney Plaza to buy the essential items. We took a cab to Gurney and had dinner at the hawker stall nearby.

Reagan and Shae

Beauties you can see in hawker stalls.

On our way back to Gurney Plaza we saw these small little stalls that sell toys. Looking across the horizon of Gurney Drive, this place is quite nice actually. Sadly i'd say the place is quite polluted. You can see rubbish almost everywhere.

It's a nice place to chill out, but smelly.

Cold Storage is where we went to get our stuff. We bought a lot!

This 2 boys shopping with mama.

The next day we went to the highest floor in our block to see the sun set. It was spectacular. Not to mention hanging out with all the people you're close with in college. We spend most of the time together and can you believe we're now living under one roof? Sometimes even myself don't believe it.

Ja kun all... never see sunset before.

Scenic ey?

Lost Japanese

Most of them are away from home for such a long time, i would say... all of them? I'm the only one in the house that is used to stay without seeing my family everyday but i miss them a lot.

Despite all that until today they still keep a strong heart and smiling all the time, i'm so proud of you guys! Except June la.. hahaha, crying at the airport. But i guess now she is fine... since i tell her the edited version of bedtime story.

A big family. Love them.

Living with other people who don't grow up with you is evidently different and tad difficult too, because everyone's style of doing things is varies, you can't expect someone to do a certain thing in YOUR way because you want it to, it don't work that way, that's where the word 'tolerate' comes in handy. So far... everything is good i guess.

***********************************************************************************

Year 2008, we went to Gurney Drive to welcome the new year. June, Shae, Reagan and I went, the rest stayed at home. According to most of them, family members warned them not to go to Gurney Drive because previously there's a lot of nasty cases happened.

In the bus on the way down from Batu Ferringghi.

When we reached there i'm surprised by the amount of people and police. The clock strikes 00:00 and nothing happened. Suddenly there's this puny little fireworks flashing across the Penang Island, i wonder where that is, Shae said it's from Kedah.

I tried to call home a couple of times but couldn't get through. You can see people holding handphones busy talking or text messaging to their friends and family to wish them Happy New Year. I reached my dad on his cell and we both wished each other Happy New Year and break into laughter, gila.

I bought bolster and pillow, so instead of sitting on the grass i get some extra comfort!

I bought my bolster and pillow on that day itself. We waited for the bus to come but it didn't show up after an hour of waiting. We got fed up and went on the most reliable transportation - our foot. We walked for a distant and finally a cab offer to get us home with the price of RM25, we took it anyway, just couldn't walk any longer.

We went to the HR department the next day to check out what department we'll be in for our first month. June, Su Fen and I will be at the Adventure Zone, a indoor playground. I was thinking "YAY!!". Both June and Su Fen thought the opposite, they hate kids.

Hmm.. let me tell you a bit about The Adventure Zone (FREE AD)

When you step into the front door, there'll be girls greeting you, in fact everyone that works there are all girls. Then if you go further in you'll see 3 gigantic slide, you'll be thinking 'oh coooOl! i can do that!" Wait till you sit on top of the blue and the red slide that stands tall at a 22-24ft each, don't cry for your mother.

Blue slide, Demon Drop Slide and Astra Slide.

All the time i'm working here, you can see how convincing you are. I personally tried the slides and yes, it creeps me inside out. Till today my legs still gets a bit shakey after i got off the slide. You can also see how brave those kids is, how courageous they are to jump down the slide without thinking twice, they have their faith on you because you told them it was fun.

There are a few kids that i really love and until now i still remember their name. I love to call them by their name, despite their young age most of them talks like adult and you'll be shock from what they tell you. Imagine a 3 year old boy tells you "NO slide is BOREDOM." OMG, 3 year old. Jap Aus mix, tells you that, shocking. 9 year old can tell you more, 5 to 7 will tell you a lot of funny things. I'm mixing with most of the caucasion kids, you can see how far behind asian kids compared to them.

She still scream till' today when she go down, for fun.

When i'm at the play area, i'll be in charge of pushing the kids down the colourful slide, and guiding them down the red and blue slide. It was fun i would say. Some 4 year old have no problem doing all the slides but some 12 year old will just sit there and tell you that they are not ready to go down the slides; some praying to God for strenght; some cried because they wanted to go down but they are too scared to do the jump... you name it, we've seen it all.

Once in a while you wish you were younger so you get to hook up with those hottie kiddos.

Recently we finished our work a little earlier because school reopens and most of the kids went back to their country. SO! our turn to play the slides as much as we want to.

After work it's our turn to be kids!

Once in a while we'll cook at home, since the house is fully furnished, we have the advantages of cooking our own food.

Our first wholesome dinner.

We go to the beach at night very often, just to enjoy the wind and the moon.

Tibetian Lady.

Still the next day we have to go to work. I love the kids, they keep me going on and on.
At night we get to eat the food the hotel charged the guest at a cut throat price. Yummies.

Pilfrage.

Bye Bye!
